Czech research cooperation in the EU is growing only slightly, AVUni is doing well

In connection to the European statistics, the Czech Republic is unable to sufficiently develop international cooperation in the framework programs (FP) of the European Union. The main reason is the fragmentation of the science and research ecosystem. Due to the large number of scientific and research institutions (and the number of their employees), whose quality does not reach the level of European cooperation, the Czech Republic as a whole only makes very moderate progress in participation in the FP.

Almost all of this cooperation takes place only in a few institutions - especially RUA, where the ratio of cooperation is increasing. RUA Chair Martin Bareš considers it necessary to define excellent institutions.
